We would like to say that St. Christopher’s Trust is an excellent organisation. Our daughter has resided there for over 7 years in a happy and safe environment. Being Trustees of St Christopher’s we have observed a positive and proactive attitude from all concerned.

I have had the privilege of being actively involved in the development of staff at St. Christopher’s in Glossop, offering both training and behavioural consultancy for the past nine years. It is clear that the organisation is fully committed to providing the highest standards of care and support for the people they serve, striving to help each individual to actualise their full potential.
As well as training staff in the prevention and management of behaviours of concern, St. Christopher’s has recently invested in debriefing training to ensure that both the people they support and the staff they employ are effectively and compassionately cared for following incidents, addressing any psychological and emotional needs to help quickly restore the well-being of all involved.
Furthermore, I believe that St. Christopher’s is motivated to enrich the lives of the people they support in a holistic and thoughtful manner. There is an emphasis on providing a range of meaningful activities tailored to the interests and abilities of each person, ensuring that their daily routines are fulfilling and contribute to their overall well-being.
In my opinion, St. Christopher’s takes a proactive approach to create opportunities for community integration, recognising that being an active participant in the wider community is essential for promoting independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. All of these efforts are carried out within a person-centred framework, which prioritises the unique needs, preferences, and aspirations of each individual supported.

He said he enjoyed his trip to old Trafford and thought all of it was really good.
But the best bit was when he sat in the dressing room THEN he got to walk down the tunnel, line up like the footballers and walk out of the tunnel!
He said “I thought How’s this happening? What’s going on”? He said “I did that, me! By myself “
He was very proud of himself coming out of the tunnel. I can send you a video of it if you give me a number I can send it to you with WhatsApp ? I tried to email it you but couldn’t.
😊
He liked the train and bus rides too.
And he loved having the pass and lanyard they give you!
Jodie said at the night in Derby he was telling her all about it then he said “wait a minute” went off to his room and brought his lanyard and pass round ❤️

It provides me with a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment for me to socialise. This is important to me as I struggle in social environments and situations. I also love seeing everyone and playing bingo and other games. I really like the baking as I can get creative and also try everyone else cake.
